The Dutty Bookman Club was inspired by Dutty Boukman who was the catalyst of the Haitian Revolution. Our Book Club sessions will address themes such as Marxism, Pan-Africanism, Decolonization, & Black Resistance. It will be a salon/cafe style meetup and a safe space for intellectual thought & discussion. Each month, we will decide on a book to read then meet up to discuss the themes within the book. Our first session will be held on Thursday January 25th, from 6pm-8pm.
